About the Event

Sorry - this session is now sold out.

This session is tailored for personal tutors and other academic colleagues in higher education.

This live online event will explore practical ways for you to respond confidently when supporting distressed students, including students at higher levels of risk.

Devised by Levi Pay and Julie Rea, who have worked in universities managing counseling and mental health services, this session is designed to help you to feel confident when responding to distressed students, including students at higher levels of risk.

The objectives for this session are for us to:

  1. Explore the nature of distress
  2. Understand key practical ways to maintain the boundaries of our academic roles when working with students
  3. Consider practical ways to build a collaborative relationship with a student who is distressed
  4. Take away important tips for when we’re aware of a student who is presenting a high level of risk

The main webinar will last 90 minutes and end at 3:30pm.

Tickets cost £25 per person plus VAT and Eventbrite booking fee.
